Getting Started with Google Forms for Schools and Classrooms

In this hands-on session, we will create a Google form from scratch as well as look at how one can use Google forms in the day-to-day operations of a school. We will visit an educational portal that has Google form templates and tutorials that have been designed by other educators to help save us all time. We can look at how we can download and alter already these ready-made templates to save valuable time. Brief Bio on Rowland Baker

Rowland Baker has been an educator for over thirty years in both public and private schools. He served as a teacher for fourteen years, a principal in two different schools, a director of technology and an assistant superintendent of curriculum and instruction in a county of about 45,000 students. He has also directed several statewide projects for the California Department of Education. 

He has worked closely over the years with Institutes of Higher Education, the Association of California School Administrators, California School Leadership Academy, the California Technology Assistance Project and the International Society of Technology in Education (ISTE). 

Rowland serves on several state and national committees focused on technology and education. He was one of forty educators brought together from across the United States to help ISTE write the National Educational Technology Standards for Administrators. Mr. Baker presented at the ICL Conference in Austria, October 2012, the Google Apps for Education Summit in Prague, Czech Republic, Bangkok and Halifax, England. Rowland was also part of the EDU Summit in The Hague, Netherlands in 2009, and again in Paris France in 2011. He was invited to attend the UNESCO Congress on Open Educational Resources in Paris France in 2012. He was one of five educators invited to speak at the Dubai Global EdTech Forum. He is a sought after presenter that has presented at over a hundred conferences, both nationally and internationally.

He has received numerous award including, Teacher of the Year, Administrator of the Year, Distinguished Service Award from Phi Delta Kappa, and the Prestigious Montague Award for Outstanding Achievement from Association of California School Administrators, and ISTE's Making IT Happen Award.

Rowland is currently Executive Director of the Technology Information Center for Administrative Leadership (TICAL), funded through the California Department of Education.
